The basics: Kevin Appier was entering probably the best year of his career when this card was issued. This is his only card in the set. The number of Appier cards in 1994 would balloon.
Card thoughts: I like the peering-over-the-shoulder look. Appier seems like he had a large wingspan.
Backs are important in '93 UD: 1992 was Appier's best season to date, but it would be surpassed by '93. ... This is one of those happy coincidences in which the stats UD is showing are Appier's complete major league stats at that point, although the '93 back design is more flexible with the photo shape than previous UD sets.
