The basics: Mike Magnante shows up for his only appearance in the '93 Upper Deck set. This set is on a run of role players after stocking the first part with stars.
Card thoughts: Magnante is showing off his distinctive wind-up. Also there's an obvious shadow on display. I think it looks like a bull's head.
Backs are important in '93 UD: Magnante was one of the Royals' key lefties out of the bullpen in 1992. He'd spend most of the 1993 season in the minors. The blurb seems to want him to be a starter but Magnante started just 19 games during a 12-year career.
Magnante is another one of those relievers that I rotated in an out of my fantasy team in an effort to find anything that worked. I recall having trouble spelling his name.
