184 - LENNY HARRIS, DODGERS, IF

The basics: Lenny Harris appears for the only time in the 1993 Upper Deck set. He is the fifth player so far to receive the "IF" (infield) designation from Upper Deck.

Card thoughts: I don't know what happened here but Harris does not seem particularly happy with it. Why else would you toss your helmet like that?

Backs are important in '93 UD: Action at second base! My best guess on the player sliding in is Dave Martinez, who wore No. 30 for the Reds in 1992 -- his lone season with the Reds. Martinez will show up two more times with his own cards in this set, so he's got at least three appearances!

Harris' production with the Dodgers declined a little in 1992 and would do so even more in '93. By 1994 he was with the Reds.

More from '93: On this date in 1993, the Brewers' Kevin Reimer goes 6-for-6 in a 12-inning, 7-6 victory against the A's in the second game of a doubleheader. The Brewers won the first game, too, 9-2.
