192 - DARRYL HAMILTON, BREWERS, OF

The basics: Darryl Hamilton makes a colorful appearance for his only stop in the 1993 Upper Deck set.

Card thoughts: Peace! I really like the close-up candid shots in this set. I zoomed in on Hamilton's sunglasses to see if I could read anything from the reflection. I see a ball field and there is some sort of figure off to the right, not sure if it's the photographer.

Backs are important in '93 UD: A nice bunting scene in County Stadium. Hamilton was just emerging as a key player for the Brewers in the early '90s. After 1995, he'd play for several teams, finishing up with the Mets. ... This is the second straight card of a player who died prematurely.

More from '93: On this date in 1993, the movie thriller "Malice," starring Alec Baldwin and Nicole Kidman, debuted at No. 1 in the U.S.
