208 - SCOTT SCUDDER, INDIANS, P

The basics: Scott Scudder appears after his first season with Cleveland in 1992. He had spent his previous three years in southern Ohio with Cincinnati. He pitched for the Reds in the 1990 World Series.

Also this is the second Indians card out of the last three and the fourth Indians card out of the last nine.

Card thoughts: A nice look of determination on Scudder's face in what is otherwise a standard pitcher shot.

Backs are important in '93 UD:
Scudder started more games with the Indians in 1992 than in any other season in his career, but his year would be cut short by a shoulder injury. Injuries would cost him all but two games in the 1993 season, spending virtually the whole year in the minors. He was a minor league pitcher again in 1994 and 1995 and that was the end of his career.

More from '93: The horror-comedy "The Leprechaun," starring Jennifer Aniston, is the highest debuting movie in the U.S. this week in 1993 at No. 9.

  1. Looking at his stats, he was not as good as I remember. I guess being a part of that 1990 Reds team automatically makes you better than you really are in my mind.
