236 - SHANE MACK, TWINS, OF

The basics: The first of two cards of Shane Mack in the 1993 Upper Deck set. He'll show up as a drawing much later.

Card thoughts: Card companies really liked showing Mack diving head-first into a base in the early 1990s. Upper Deck did so here and in its 1991 set and Topps had the speedy Mack diving three straight years from 1991-93.

Backs are important in '93 UD: The 1992 season was the best of Mack's career as he established career highs in a number of categories.

I'm sure this is why I drafted Mack in my fantasy baseball league at the time. True to form, as soon as he joined my team, his production dropped.

More from '93: Two Walt Disney Studios movies debuted in the Top 10 this week in 1993. "Guilty as Sin," starring Rebecca De Mornay and Don Johnson, checked in at No. 3 and "Life With Mikey," starring Michael J. Fox, Christina Vidal, Nathan Lane and Cyndi Lauper, debuted at No. 8.
