Backs are important in '93 UD: Hey, we've got a player-signing photo, it's been awhile. There is some nice background action, too, with fans enjoying their view from the front row seats and an umpire walking with somebody else in uniform (a coach?) behind May.
May would enjoy the best season of his big league career in 1993, driving in 77 runs and hitting .295, but the stardom forecast by being the No. 9 overall pick in the 1985 draft (at age 17) didn't come to pass.
