262 - KENNY LOFTON, INDIANS, OF

The basics: Kenny Lofton makes his second and final appearance in the 1993 Upper Deck set with his solo card. He appeared with some of his teammates on card No. 45.

Card thoughts: I can safely say I've never seen a player so carefully clean his sunglasses on a baseball card like this one.

Backs are important in '93 UD:
Lofton appears to be corralling a high bounce in the outfield, either that or he's running in on a liner very confidently.

Lofton made good on all of the cards produced of him in 1992 by finishing second to the Brewers' Pat Listach in the Rookie of the Year voting in '92. ... I admit I don't remember John Cangelosi stealing 50 bases in 1986, he didn't come close to that total in the rest of his career.

More from '93: On this date in 1993, Kate Bush released her seventh album, "The Red Shoes". Biggest song from that album was the lead single, "Rubberband Girl".
